Quick Start

Welcome to Finvee. This guide will get you oriented and productive quickly. By the end you will understand what Finvee is, how all the pieces fit together, and where to find everything you need.

Introduction

Finvee is a systematic trading and decision-intelligence platform built for active traders and investors who want to move beyond gut-feel decisions.

Most traders keep a mental model of what they are doing and why - Finvee externalises that model. It captures market context, trade intent, and post-trade outcomes into a single coherent loop, so you can see not just what happened but why, and whether your process is actually working.

Who Finvee is for:

  • Traders running systematic or semi-systematic strategies who want a disciplined execution framework
  • Investors who track multiple positions across sectors and themes and need a high-level health view
  • Anyone who wants to close the feedback loop between their decisions and their results

What Finvee is not:

  • A brokerage or execution venue - Finvee works alongside your existing broker
  • A signal service or algo trader - you remain in control of every decision
  • A generic portfolio tracker - it is purpose-built around the decision-making process

How the system works

Finvee is organised around a continuous decision loop:

Market State → Opportunity Engine → Trade Intent → Execution → Decisioning Audit
       ↑ |

1. Market State
Finvee continuously monitors macro and sector conditions - market health regimes, sector momentum, and theme strength. This gives you an objective read on the environment before you consider any trade.

2. Opportunity Engine
The system surfaces assets and themes that meet your configured criteria: momentum quality, sector alignment, and your personal investment profile. This is your filtered starting point, not a signal to blindly follow.

3. Trade Intent (Pre-Trade)
Before entering a position, you log your thesis, planned horizon, stop level, and sizing rationale. This captures your reasoning at the moment of decision - not after the fact.

4. Execution & Position Tracking
Trades are imported or entered directly. Finvee links every open position back to the intent that started it, so you always know why you are holding what you are holding.

5. Decisioning Audit (Post-Trade)
When a position closes, Finvee automatically generates a decision audit. It scores your process across three dimensions - alignment, execution, and discipline - and assigns a variance label (e.g. Aligned Positive, Misaligned Lucky). Over time this builds a forensic record of your decision quality, independent of raw P&L.

Explore the Dashboard

After signing in you land on the main dashboard. Here is a map of the key sections:

Build your first Playbook & review sample data

When you create a new account, Finvee populates your workspace with sample data - a set of demonstrative positions, intents, and decision audits. This gives you an immediate feel for how all the views look when they contain real activity.

Using the sample data

  • Navigate to Playbook → Analytics to see what decision audits look like with populated data
  • Open Playbook → PTQI Ranking to see how positions are scored and prioritised
  • Check the Dashboard Home attention queue to understand what kinds of signals the system surfaces

The sample data does not affect your real portfolio and can be cleared from Settings at any time.

For a full walkthrough of creating strategies, logging trade intents, and interpreting your decision audit scores, see the Decisioning section.
